Course Overview

This intensive course provides a comprehensive understanding of Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Compression Therapy. Participants will learn the fundamentals of lymphatic system anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for MLD, along with mastering all essential MLD strokes and sequences for different body areas. The course also covers the principles and application of compression therapy, an essential component of effective edema and lymphedema management. By the end of the training, attendees will be able to structure full-body, face, and leg treatment protocols, integrating MLD and compression techniques for optimal therapeutic results.

Triantafyllou Evripidis is a physiotherapist specializing in lymphedema and edema management. As the director of BIOANADRASIS since 2009, he has treated over 7,000 cases in Greece and Germany. He is a certified lymphedema therapist and educator, co-founding Oe.D.E.M.A. Academy and teaching across Europe. As APLESO president and an industry consultant, he actively advances lymphedema research, education, and treatment.

1st day

09:00-10:30 Introduction, theory of the anatomy of the lymphatic system

10:30-10:45 Coffee Break

10:45-12:30 Physiology of the lymphatic system. Basic lymphatic drainage techniques and contraindications. Static rotation manipulation

12:30-13:15 Lunch break 

13:15-14:45 Neck and face treatment

14:45-15:00 Coffee Break

15:00-17:00 Pump manipulation and upper extremity treatment

 

2nd day

09:00-10:30 Scoop manipulation, upper extremity treatment repetition, lower extremity treatment

10:30-10:45 Coffee Break

10:45-12:30 Rotational manipulation and breast treatment

12:30-13:15 Lunch break 

13:15-14:45 Back and lumbar treatment

14:45-15:00 Coffee Break

15:00-17:00 Abdominal treatment

 

3rd day

09:00-10:30 Application protocol for the face (preparation, sequence, time)

10:30-10:45 Coffee Break

10:45-12:30 Upper trunk treatment protocol

12:30-13:15 Lunch break 

13:15-14:45 Lower trunk treatment protocol
